What Causes Elevation In Blood Pressure In Resting Position?

I have high blood pressure. Just started taking Lisinopril 5mg. Bp did not go down first few days, dr office said to double up to 10mg. It worked yesterday after taking 10meg. Bp went down from 160/110 to 130/86 and stayed down all day. Got up this morning and it had gone up to 169/14. It has stayed at about 148/100 all day today.. My question is why does my bp go up when I go to sleep?

Normally blood pressure rises with the day time. Disturbed sleep and stress can be factors for rise in blood pressure. All medications for blood pressure will work after 1 weeks of staring oral medications. stay calm.. your blood pressure will be normalized...
