Hi,

Kidney is one of the major organ in the body that plays a major role in excretion of waste products from the body. Each individual has a pair of kidneys in them. Kidneys filters and remove the waste products from the body and reabsorbs the needed ones. In case of renal disease, it excretes proteins in urine. Albumin is the first protein that is excreted by the kidney that indicating the early renal disease.

Diabetes and Hypertension are the most common cause for the renal disease. Several other conditions cause microalbuminuria. Sometimes, it is found in healthy individuals also. Obesity, metabolic syndrome or vascular etiology are some of the conditions causing microalbuminuria. Detailed evaluation is necessary to rule out any cardiac or other pathology behind the result. Visit the physician for further evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
