What Causes Elevated Levels Of Eosinophil Count?

My daughter has a 3600 eosinophils count. My husband us a doctor and he gas been watching it and every May it seems to skyrocket but thus us the highest it s ever been. Two weeks ago she might have gotten a spider bite which caused her to get bumps all over her body. He put her on prednisone and her eosinophils count went way down. Now that she Is off it, it went right back up again. He checked for parasites- she had none. Checked the allergy factor - on a normal of 0-100 she had 465. Checked the blood smear and had normal cells. What else could it be ??

Hi,

This is an allergy as obvious, this eosinophil count is a normal reflection for this allergy. It will cause no harm. Just keep your daughter safe from any infection of allergic triggers.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
