Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had a ablation procedure on his heart Jan 18. Heart afib and rate did not improve. Last Monday he was put in the hospital over night on an IV giving him Cardizem to bring down the heart rate and help with afib. Med helped some but not enough. Tuesday Dr had to shock his heart to get in back in rhythm. This has worked until today. His rate is up to 126. Is there a medication that will cause rapid heart rate? I will list his med if needed. Thanks.
