What Causes Elevated Heart Rate While Suffering From Hemochromatosis?

I am recently diagnosed with hereditary hemochromatosis, 5 months ago. Having regular phlebotomies and it s down to 201 but my heart rate is staying in the 90 s and BP is all over the place. PCP has me off BP meds and recording the readings 4 times a day for 1 month. Should I seek additional advise if the heart rate doesn t slow down?

Hi,

Normal heart rate is up to 100. So 90 is not too much.UntI'll otherwise indicated you don't need to take any medicine for it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
