Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 86 yr. old Mom feels her body heat up inside, unbearable for her, no sweating, no fever. This happens to her every day and now she s feeling this heat inside from head to toe. She was just rushed to hospital and they don t know what s happening, so she was sent home. Please help
The body heat your 86 years old mom is feeling could be due to changes in her body functioning including: - High blood pressure (BP): monitor her BP - Glycemia levels ( check her fasting blood sugar) - Thyroid (get thyroid hormones checked: TSH, T3, T4) - Complete blood count - Urine analysis - Liver/kidney function test - Abdominal ultrasound - Cardiac check up After evaluating the results, we can determine the right cause of this suddenly increased body heat.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini
