General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The body heat your 86 years old mom is feeling could be due to changes in her body functioning including:
- High blood pressure (BP): monitor her BP
- Glycemia levels ( check her fasting blood sugar)
- Thyroid (get thyroid hormones checked: TSH, T3, T4)
- Complete blood count
- Urine analysis
- Liver/kidney function test
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Cardiac check up
After evaluating the results, we can determine the right cause of this suddenly increased body heat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Albana Sejdini
