What Causes Elevated Body Temperature In A Child?

My 9 yr old grandson is always complaining he is hot. Especially in school. Yesterday it was in the 50s outside he is helping papa close the pool with shorts and tshirt on...no shoes and complaining he is too hot. Any suggestions we scold be checking, thank you.
