What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Level While On Oxtellar?
My husband is put on Oxtellar and when he takes it is for Trigeminal Neuralgia. He is 79 years old. He has had this since 2001. fixed with Rhizotomy in 2008. On right side of his face. but due to glaucoma he under went the surgery this brought back the pain and I feel so bad when he is in so mcg pain. He takes only on pill a day since it is giving him pain and pushes his BP very high! we don t seem to find a good Internal medicine doctor who can take care of this. neurologist put him on this med and he has been taking for past 5 days. Does it work this wAy.

It doesn't cause high blood pressure.
Your husbands blood pressure might increase from other causes. Pain is a very important cause of blood pressure increase in your husbands case.
If this medicine doesn't improve the pain he should consult his neurologist, for a dosage increase of Oxtellar, or to add another drug in his therapy.
