What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure And Dizziness?

My normal blood pressure is 110/98. I recorded 125/70 a few days ago and my neck, head are experiencing pulsating sensations. I also have swollen ankles, occasional dizziness. I am 34 years, 97kg but I have been exercising over the last month (30 minutes a day for 5 days a week). I have also changed my eating habits to become healthier...more greens, less fat etc. I feel there is something wrong but am not sure. What could be the problem?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Blood pressure of 110/98 and 125/70 show high systolic and high diastolic blood pressures respectively.

I suggest you get your blood pressure under controlled conditions more than once by your physician.

Controlled conditions imply a similar level of physical activity and rest before getting blood pressure measured to correctly determine the blood pressure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
