What Causes Elevated TLC Count?

hi, i am 36 years old, couple of day ago I i test my blood CBC. It shows TLC count 17000 (Normal range is i think 4000 to 11000).I am concious to see that. apparently I have no kind of infection or have t gone through any surgery in my life. what could be the cause of this raise.

Increased total leukocyte count (TLC) indicate some type of infection OR INFLAMMATION in the body.infections can be asymptomatic .In the blood report, if DLC is included check if the neutrophils or lymphocytes are increasing.Since no signs and symptoms so best course is to keep a watch on the increase and if it does not stabilise, then peripheral blood smear must be evaluted.Get other routine tests done meanwhile.Take care!
