I take vitamin D 60000 mg tablet weekly but don t take any other medications regularly.sometimes i take combiflam if i get headache. Can this cause any problem or it is due to some other reason. General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

ALT is one of the liver enzymes, it can be elevated for different reasons including:(1) alcohol use
(2)non alcoholic fatty liver disease
(3)infection
(4)trauma
(5)side effect of medication

If the other liver enzymes are normal then it is possible that the increase does not indicate a serious condition and may only need repeating and monitoring at this stage.

If it continues to increase then additional tests would be needed.

I hope this helps
