What Causes Elevated INR Levels?

I recently have been having blood work done which has shown an elevated INR. I also have had multiple spots on my legs and thighs where bruises seem to randomly appear without injury. I also have small red dots on my stomach above my belly button and also on my breasts. My regular doctor is referring me over to a Hematologist, when searching online I can not find any possible illnesses associated with these symtoms.

Hi and welcome to HCM.
This is sign of clotting disorders and coagulation disorders and may be caused by disorders of certain clotting factors as we see in hemopilia, thrombocytoenia, von Wilebrandt disease or Fctor X or IX insufficiency. In every case there is a clotting issue with abnormal INR and clinical picture of bruises. It should be evauated and exact diagnosis established by more speciifc tests and then it can be treated.

Wish you good health. Regards
