What Causes Echoing In Ear?

Hello. I recently had my ears cleaned out, as I had a problem with wax build up which was causing hearing loss and pain. Now, however, the more problematic ear seems to be...wrong somehow? Sounds, especially voices, are quite robotic and I think I hear echoes in it some times. Hearing is otherwise fine and my ears are completely clear. Any idea what this could be?

Hi
Wax build up causes what we call ear blockade and some amount of hear loss. When such an ear is cleaned of wax, the voices sound strange. This is not an issue.
The brain and internal ear get accustomed to this new hearing level when hearing is impaired due to blockade by wax. When the ear is cleaned, the blockade is relieved and the ear hears sounds a bit loud, impaired and high pitched. It can't ignore the unnecessary sounds in the surroundings. The ears now are a little unequal in hearing sounds.
In just a few days, the cleaned ear will get adapted to the environment and you will hear equally in both the ears.
Best of luck.
