What Causes Earache And Shore Throat Along With Fever?
My adult daughter age 30 had ear pain and throat was sore. She believed it was a sinus infection but only used over the counter medications. Now she getting fevers of 101, her gums are red and she said she feels her mouth to be slightly swollen and now has 2 fever blisters on her lower lip. If I have to pay for your advice forget it, she'll just have to got to the hospital and pay.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query, you have symptoms of an earache and sore throat along with fever which seems to be due to strep throat which is a bacterial infection, and it could be due to coinfection with the viral organism.
Need not to panic about it. I would suggest you do:
1) Maintain oral hygiene.
2) Take proper course of antibiotics such as Azithromycin for 5 days. Sip on lukewarm water and take throat lozenges.
3) Avoid giving child spicy and rough food. Take diet rich in soft food.
4) In case of fever, you can take Calpol or paracetamol medicine for relief as well as it will relieve throat pain too.
5) Apply warm compresses on ear.
If symptoms keep on persisting, then visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Get blood tests done if required and start treatment accordingly.
