Hi,

Noted your history of severe pain in ear, Doctor told about build up of wax and said would sole by some time, but you still have pain.
The trial to remove the wax at home usually causes this problem as mentioned by you.
Since the ear canal has an outer covering that is purely bone on which the skin is well stuck.
Hence there is no gap between the bone and the skin.
So whatever inflammation occurs the pain is severe.
I would advise you to have a course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
Consult an ENT Surgeon for proper diagnosis.
Once the inflammation is solved then only it is possible to remove the wax.
So take additional medicines as advised under the guidance of your Doctor and get alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
