What Causes Ear Pain When Diagnosed With Jaw Cancer?

i have had cancer in my jaw,is it possible i can have thyroid cancer?i have pain in my right ear and problems swallowing.i am on a thyroid medication.my pcp says my ear canal is clear but i feel something is wrong.he has told me to go to a dentist.i dont agree with him.please tell me what doctor i should see?

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I read your query and here is my answer.
You said you have a jaw cancer, so of course you can feel ear pain with that. It is called referred pain, you don't have any ear problem but the pain in jaw that occurs due to cancer, you feel there in ear.
Depending on the spread and location of the cancer in jaw, it may or may not effect your thyroid.
