I just cleaned my sons ears and there was a lot of wax build up and one of them started bleeding. he says it hurts but the bleeding looks to have stopped or slowed down. He is saying it is still a little sore and his throat hurts now. Is it his ear drum. I don't think I went into far but wondering if that is what happened?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain bleeding of the ear while cleaning can not be necessarily associated with ear drum rupture but it can also be due to injury to the lining of the ear canal leading to bleeding and pain.. In case if there is some hearing loss or ringing in ear is also found you should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and an Otoscopic examination can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly.. In case if there is perforation then minor perforations can be healed with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers and decongestants and avoiding loud music or any other form of ear trauma, swimming etc.. In case of large perforation which does not seems to be a cause in your case surgical correction can be advisable..
Hope this information helps..
