What Causes Dull Pain On Left Side Of Chest Which Increases Upon Drinking Cold Water?

I have a dull pain in my left chest and it increases after I drink cold water. I don t feel it when I cough, sneeze or breathe deep though I feel it when I lie on my chest for long or when I press down my chest precisely on the left side of my heart. Could it be a lung infection?

Hi,

If your pain increases upon drinking cold water it is related to gastro-intestinal problem. More likely it can be related to esophageus.
I would advise you to avoid drinking cold water, not to lie down after eating, avoid spicy and irritative meals
If your symptoms continue you should see your doctor for further tests

Wish you a good health
