What Causes Dull Pain In The Left Side Of The Torso?

Hi . I m a 43 year old male . 5 10 212 pounds . I ve been having a dull ache with a warm sensation in the left side of my chest and neck and back to shoulder area . I ve been having this feeling now for quite a few days . I don t have any known history of heart problems ; I have , however , been stressed about a few things , and I don t get a lot of sleep . It does hurt to breathe deeply . Do you have any idea what this could possibly be ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having left side chest pain and it is referred to neck, shoulder area...

Hence cardiological causes like ischemic heart disease should be ruled out first..
For that work up done as follow...
-Auscultation
-EKG
-Tread mill
-if needed further investigation like troponin estimation and echo done

According to cause specific treatment given

If no cardiac causes present than this presentation could be from stress induced or muscular pain..

Take care

Consult physician or pulmonologoist for examination with keeping all this in mind

Hope your concern solved
