What Causes Dull And Numbing Pain In The Back Of Left Heel?

I ve been having gradual pain in the back of my heel on my left foot, the pain started approximately 11/2 months ago. The pain seem to be getting more bothersome. It s like a dull and numbing pain. Could it be neuropathy? I have not been diagnosed as a diabetic.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, I really appreciate your concern about the pain. As you said the pain is Dull and Numbing in nature. So there is no need to worry as of still now. I advise you to war proper foot wares, Use ice padding, streaking and avoid heavy exercise.
Also I would like to further advise you that if the pain starts to gradually increase from dull to sharp or if there is increasing numbness in the foot, Please see the Orthopedician for further evaluation.
