What Causes Dull Aching Pain In The Neck?

I woke up yesterday morning with a dull aching pain on the right side of my neck. I thought that I had slept on it the wrong way . I took advil and used heat the entire day but it still persists and I can t sleep . I took Tylenol about 1 hr ago with no relief.

Hi,

It may be due to minor sprain or spasm that have been developed during sleep. You can take analgesics/ muscle relaxant combination like Aceclofenac/Baclofen combination for pain relief.

Generally the pain will settled in couple of days. If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedics and get evaluated.
