Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I heard using tea tree oil to treat ppp was a good thing to use. However today I am slightly worried as the head of my penis appeared extremely dry and then I peeled a layer of skin from it as it seems to of shed somehow. I m not sure if this is normal and really am worried
No this is not normal. This is associated with some infection. So better to consult dermatologist as soon as possible and get done clinical examination of penis. Also rule out diabetes by doing blood sugar estimation because diabetic patients are more prone for such infections.
You may need antifungal antibacterial cream for local application. Avoid moisture and perspiration in private parts. Keep proper hygiene of private parts. Wear only cotton undergarments. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Don't worry, you will be alright but first consult dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
