What Causes Dry Mouth And Excessive Thirst After Taking Klonopin?
I've just begun taking klonopin 3x daily and Prozac... Dry mouth, excessive thirst, and a yellowish tint in my mouth. I also have hashimotos and hypothyroidism so I take levothyroxine. Why is my mouth so pale/white/yellow? Nothing hurts and there's no thicker coating like thrush. I also have a blocked salivary duct. Why?

Prozac causes dry mouth and excessive thirst as side effects in some patients. Yellowish discoloration is also due to dry oral mucosa. I advice you to remain well hydrated with plenty of water and healthy fluids like milk, juices and fresh lime water. Avoid tea, coffee and aerated drinks as they are fluids that will worsen your dry mouth and thirst further.
