What Causes Dry Mouth And Dizziness After A Bypass Heart Surgery?

My 80 yr old grandma had triple bypass heart surgery 2 weeks ago. Today has been the worst day yet. Some new symptoms are very dry mouth, dizziness, and she said it s hard to breath, like hard to catch a breath. I m worried. We ve been home from the hospital almost one week already. She has had normal pain and whatnot but today with the dry mouth and severe dizziness (she won t lift her head, looks down) and the hard time breathing... is this normal?

Hi,

No, it's not normal. You should take her to the cardiologist immediately. It could herald a new heart symptom or it could be a lung involvement also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
