Hello,
You are getting
dry cough while walking. You are also having
shortness of breath. You do not smoke or take alcohol. Dry cough and shortness of breath occurs commonly due to upper
respiratory tract infections (sinusitis/
pharyngitis, etc.), allergies, cold, environmental irritants, COPD, chronic lung diseases, asthma, anemia, poor general health condition, etc.
Get clinically examined by a GP, get swab tests, sputum tests done. Get chest X-ray and X-ray PNS to detect pathology causing you symptoms. If required you will be referred to an ENT. You will be accordingly treated. In the meantime, stay well hydrated. Take adequate amount of water and fluids. Keep cough lozenges in your mouth to avoid coughing.
Take non sedating antihistamines to control symptoms of allergy. Take cough suppressants to suppress your cough reflex. Take mucolytics with
Bromhexine to expel dry cough. Steam inhalation may be helpful. Give voice rest and take liquid or semi solid diet to avoid hurting your throat mucosa. You may need a course of antibiotics like
Augmentin if chronic infection is detected.
Take care of your overall heath, take home made nutritious food, fruits and berries. You can take a
multivitamin, once daily after food for 10 days. You will feel better. Avoid sedentary life. Do Walking. Stay cheerful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
