What Causes Dry Cough After Inhaling Paint Smell?

My husband and I have been painting a few rooms in our house. I had been surprised about the paint we are using because there was little "paint smell" with the paint. With that said we both have a dry cough. Could it be something in the paint that keeps the fumes from being strong or just the paint alone.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

You both are allergic paint. It is normal as most of the paint contains corrosive chemicals.

Take steam inhalation through mouth and nose. Also, take tablet Levocetirizine 1 tablet at bedtime.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajat Basak
