What Causes Drooping Of Eyelids Along With Elevated Heart Rate?

Respected Sir / Madam My name is Rahul. I am 37 Year old boy, Since january 2013 I was earlier treated as Hypothyroid ( as my TSH 100 ) Now from last year My TSH Level comes normal. But after my I am suffering from drooping of eyelids in day time once in a day or twice in day as well some what breathing problem & increase in heart beat so my Dr. Suggested me For RNS but it also found negative as well as anti acetyl choline receptor antibody but its result also negative. My Bp is 100/70 & sugar is also under controll. So doctor told me that everything is clinically nil. Now he Given me Stalopam 5 once in night & Melzap ( 0.25 ) half - half twice a day for 30 days. After taking above both of drugs for 10 to 12 days I feel relaxed. My question is that how many days I have to take this drugs & is it safe for me ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First of all, I advice you not to change the dosage or stop the medicines prescribed by your doctor without consulting him as there are adverse effect of drugs when you stop them suddenly.

About adverse effects, each drug has its own different side effects. In your case your doctor has considered all the benefits and adverse effects in mind before suggesting you these meds.

So do not worry about it, there are more benefits of these drugs in your case and your doctor is well aware of it. So do not worry and take the medicines for the said duration as per your doctor’s advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
