Hello dear. Greenish pus is due to certain type of bacterial infection. Green, foul-smelling pus is found in certain infections of bacteria called "Pseudomonas aeruginosa". The greenish color is a result of the bacterial pigment "pyocyanin" that it produces. It is treated by sulfer containing medications (sulfadiazine) and also cephalosporin group of drugs. Kindly see your physician. The condition can be treated with tablets and ointments. Do not neglect Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
