What Causes Dizzy Spells And Numbness Of The Gums?
I have had several dizzy spells today and with the worst one my gums and around my lips on only the rt side became numb and tingly. Also was off balance for a time. could it be vertigo, as my dr. suggested when I called. I was not hyperventilating at all and am not given to panic or anxiety attacks. thank you
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The dizzness could be because of the vertigo or syncope or postural hypotension. Consult a general physician and get it evaluated. The numbness in the gums and lips could be because of the nerve injury secondary to the pressure on the nerve by a wisdom tooth, cyst, tumor or any traumatic injury can cause nerve injury. Consult a oral physician and get a OPG done to rule out these things. Once the cause is found out we can treat accordingly. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
