What Causes Dizziness?

Hi I have for the past 10 days ben feeling smewhat lite-headed and some dizziness. my annual check up in april indicated all to be in good order. I am now 67 years old 5 7 140lb ( Male )- in the past when I was younger I remember that whenever I had nuts I would show some type of allergic reaction by getting dizzy and even throwing up - then it would relieve - recently I had been eating sun flower seeds and walnuts - could the recent diziness be again related to that - I have now topped the nuts, coffee, tea and alcohol even in moderation. This time it seems that so far the lite dizziness id=s not going away - what else could be the cause ? what else I be able to do or should do. Thank you Sy

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

You need to be properly evaluated to determine the cause of dizziness. Detailed neurological examination should be followed by ENT examination and brain MRI. In most cases, it could be related to ear, called as peripheral vertigo. Simple bedside manoeuvres can cause significant improvement in symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
