What Causes Dizziness While Sleeping?

I am 68 years old, have a pacemaker and the last month or so I have been dizzy when turning over in bed, and when I sit up to get out of bed. Once up I am okay. Today I was in the bathroom and my floor is tan and lite brown and I was seeing blue spots on the floor. What could this be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sometimes any cardiac, blood pressure related problem can cause Dizziness.

Consult your physician to do an Echo and ECG. Maintain your blood pressure below the higher range.

Get the Dix-Hallpike test and if it comes positive, then an Epley maneuver needs to be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajat Basak
