Hi,

You probably experience orthostatic hypotension, when blood pressure falls after person assumes vertical position. It can have many causes, chronic anemia, acute blood loss, fluid loss due to vomiting, diarrhea, diabetes, too much diuretics, problems with veins of the legs, etc. It can be Vertigo. Your doctor should be able to tell orthostatic hypotension from vertigo.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Malkhaz Jalagonia, Internal Medicine Specialist
