What Causes Dizziness, Nausea, Fever And Red Blotchy Skin After A Lumpectomy?

My wife had cancer in her left breast last year. She had a lumpectomy and 18 lymph nodes removed. She finished chemo about 4 months ago. Today, she woke up feeling fine but after her shower she started to feel dizzy. She laid down for a few minutes then felt nauseous and had a fever. I noticed that her left breast, arm side and back had large red blotches. She thinks she has the flu, but these symptoms appeared very quickly. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
If she had undergone recently lumpectomy surgery then due to wound infection or incisional cellulitis or abscess etc.
The treatment is simple but antibiotics cephalosporins group preferred with analgesics and antiinflammatories, antihistamines like cinaarizine.
You consult your treating surgeon or oncosurgeon for further advise.
