What Causes Dizziness Especially While Taking Shower?

I have had dizzy spells for the past three weeks. They mostly occur when I lie down or get up. Also if I turn my head to the right side or if I work with my arms up over my head. I also notice them when I am in the shower, especially when washing my hair. What could be the cause and what can I do to help solve them? Thank you

Hello,

Dizziness when you change position or raise your arms above your head occurs mainly because of any of the following:
1) Low blood pressure
2) Subclavian steal syndrome
3) Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo
4) Meniere's disease
5) Dizziness associated with cervical spondylosis or disc degenerative disease

Most common cause is low blood pressure. So, you need to drink liquids well in order to maintain your blood pressure. You may take tab. Vertin for 3-4 days and see if the dizziness goes away. If dizziness persists or increases in intensity, it's better to consult a physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
