What Causes Dizziness During Coughs?
Why do I get dizzy when I cough? I am 58 withHBP, currently wearing a heart monitor for 2 more weeks (4 wks total). I have a history of passing out with no memory of what I doing before or just after. I have had brain scans, EKGs, Echos, I have vertigo use meclezine . I am 5 139 lbs. trying to lose weight. I take Synthroid and hits, amlodipine,topiramate, leapfrogging.

Sometimes cough can stimulate parasympathetic nerves which can cause transient slow down of heart rate leading to reduce blood flowing to brain and hence dizziness. I will advice to sit down during cough that will help to prevent dizziness.
