What Causes Dizziness And Weight Loss In The 6th Pregnancy?

I am 34 years old, 5'7" tall, weigh 147 pounds and am 8 weeks pregnant with my 6th (yes, you read that right, 6th) child. I have been exercising regularly (6 days a week) and am in better physical condition than I have been with any previous pregnancy. My question is, since hitting the 6 week mark, I have felt constantly dizzy, and when I exercise the way I have been for the past year, I lose weight. I am not restricting calories, nor am I gorging myself. Is it something to be concerned with at this stage of the pregnancy?

Hi,
I can understand your concern.
* With each pregnancy,/ and advanced age- there is reduction in physical tolerance.Naturally you also face same problem.
* Moreover, with pregnancy, there is rise in pregnancy hormones in your body-this causes stress to normal bodily activities This also results in lac of energy in early pregnancy.
* And on top of that you are continuing with your routine physical exercises -which prove to be stressful in early pregnancy.

** All of these collectively result in dizziness & weight loss.

- In pregnancy woman needs 15% rise in caloric intake in form of proteins, vitamins,
- If you must ,you are allowed to have a walk with medium speed for 30 minutes in a day. After 16 weeks you can start exercises which do not involve abdominal muscles/ excessive exertion.
Thanks
