What Causes Dizziness And Vomiting While Treating BP?

my daughter is 31 and has had several episodes where she feels lightheaded, can t focus or find her words, followed tonight by vomiting and a headache and total exhaustion. She has seen a doctor and so far blood work has been normal. She has low blood pressure and a and 15 years ago has a severe concussion when a hockey ball hit her right in the forehead during a game. She s had one pregnancy, normal height and weight and no other major medical problems. She did try a vegetarian challenge this summer, but other than that is a healthy eater with very low alcohol consumption and no drug use. She seems to think the episodes happen 3 to 4 days before her menstrual cycle. Tonight is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened. she has tingling in her heads and numbness as well. Tonight she said her nose went numb while this was happening. Between episodes she has been complaining of the numbness in her hands, and general fatique along with insomnia.

Hi, your daughter's case is interesting. Since all her tests are normal, I would first suggest she takes a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) for a month to treat any gastritis. This may be a food allergy or intolerance too. She should note whether any particular food item precipitated the attack. And since she feels it is pre-menstrual, it may not be a bad idea to restrict her fluid intake a week before her periods. A food allergy and intolerance test may help---regards.
