What Causes Dizziness And Strange Feeling In Legs?

I am 88 years old, today out of the blue, I became dizzy and my legs and body felt like jello. I had to hang onto the table to keep from falling down. The episode didn t last very long but it does concern me. My blood pressure, pulse and breathing were normal.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Need to check for anemia, postural hypotension and dehydration.
2. Adequate hydration is essential. Check hemoglobin levels.
3. If the fall is during change of position, which was rapid, possible postural hypotension. During sitting to standing, the blood pressure won't adjust soon, resulting in fall. Slow change of postural position essential.
4. Medication for blood pressure might require modification. Meet your doctor. Fall at this age can make you bedridden for life.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
