What Causes Dizziness And Numbness In The Tongue When Diagnosed With Mastoiditis?

I was just diagnosed by MRI with mild acute mastoiditis I have numbness in my tongue and it bothers my throat kinda feels tight fever dizziness balance issues , WHAT IS THE PROPER TREATMENT for this ? Should I go to the er ? My Dr only gave my oral penicillin 500mg 4 times daily q28

The symptoms you present are due to involvement of the nerve inflamnation going through the mastoid.(facial nerve)
Your doctor has prescribed you the correct treatment.You can consider second opinion if symptoms persists or getting worsened.
