What Causes Dizziness And Muscle Ache While Suffering From Diabetes?
I m type 2 diabetic and have changed my eating habits for the past month. I get all my carbs from leafy greens and eat more good fats and moderate proteins. I have lost weight and blood glucose has been in a 140 to 100 range. My bp has been running 110/70 on average. The problem I m having is I go through dizzy spells and my muscles ache. I also go through times where I don t feel totally coherent. I take a potassium pill and I also take magnesium. Not sure if I need to up my sodium levels with my new diet or not. What could be the cause?
So diabetes is known as mother of all diseases. In your case dizziness may be related to autonomic neuropathy related to diabetes. Similarly, muscle aches may be related to diabetic myopathy or sometimes due to electrolyte imbalance. You require an endocrinology and neurology evaluation followed by appropriate treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
