What Causes Dizziness And Impaired Hearing In Ear?

Hi Dr. Bhatti, My son went to the Bahamas and went diving without an air tank. He came home 9 days ago and has been on the couch ever since with dizziness, bleeding from one ear and, said he couldn t hear. He was seen by our family Internist a week ago and then an ENT 3 days later. His hearing was tested and was fine but he has brusing behind the ear drum. He says the dizziness is actually worse now. We are wondering how long the dizziness and overall sick feeling will last? Also is there a name for this condition?
