What Causes Dizziness And Headache After Microdiscectomy?

My husband had a microdiscektomy L4/L5 four days ago. He has been having periods of feeling lightheaded and unfocused. The last time he took anything for pain was last night. The incision is clean, dry and intact and he has no drainage. He also has a slight headache occasionally. Wondering why he continues to feel lightheaded. Any thoughts?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It may be post anesthesia headache or it may be due to infection or it may be BPPV or cardiac problem.

Check your blood pressure, check your vestibular function, ECG and if necessary CT brain.

Use tablet Diligan. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
