What Causes Dizziness And Flashes In The Vision While Having Aspergers Syndrome?

26 year old male with Aspberger s syndrome, possible Metabolic disorder (unable to classify), developmentally delayed. Experiencing dizziness when walking around. Sensation that someone is poking him in and around the eye area. Diminished appetite. Lethargic (sleeping 13-14 hours per day). Some flashing lights in vision. CT of abdomen and skull are negative. EEG negative for seizure activity. Blood pressure not significantly altered when taken laying down or standing. No fever. No ear infection. Unusual feeling in lower abdomen. Treated for migraines several weeks ago with Steroids, phenergan and later amitriptyline (stopped due to side effects). Does not appear to be a migraine.

Hello,

Sorry about your health condition. Yes, if it is newly developed symptoms of giddiness then there is a possibility of side effects to drugs or BPPV or Vestibular neuritis or circulation problems.

Flashes of light may be due to retinal degeneration or detachment or vitreous degeneration etc.

Please get it done fundoscopy, vestibular function testing is useful.


Use tablet vertin. But please consult your neuro physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
