What Causes Dizziness And Breathlessness While On Sildenafil?

My husband was recently diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension and right ventricle enlargement/failure. He was put on atenolol , furosemide and potatoes chloride at first, then was prescribed sildenafil 3 times daily to reduce the pressure in his lungs, as he was always short of breath and dizzy even walking 10 feet. Are these medications ok to take together and is there a less expensive alternative to sildenafil?

Yes, these medications can be used together, would wait 2 hours between dosing of atenolol and sildenafil to avoid low blood pressure. Symptoms of shortness of breath are from the condition of severe pulmonary hypertension. Sildenafil is one of the least expensive medications used for pulmonary hypertension
