What Causes Dizziness Along With Headaches And Earaches?

Dear Web MD: My cousin has been suffering from dizzyness, head aches, ear aches and has fallen several times over the past several months and hit his head. He has visited the emergency room and they gave him an MRI and came up with nothing. He s on disability, overweight in his mid 60s and his reliant on the emergency room and the VA for his care. The emergency physician does not have much to say .. said I don t know. The cousin was just diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. I am writing this as my cousin does not have internet connection. Your thoughts would be welcome. Sincerely, Peter B. Grinnell

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hi,

A history of multiple falls accompanied by headaches, earaches and earaches are all suggestive of some kind of trauma to the brain.

I suggest you consult a neurologist for clinical assessment and CT/MRI head.

For urinary tract infection, appropriate antibiotics are recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri,
