What Causes Dizziness After Taking Acetaminophen/Codeine?

I took two tablets of acetami/codein 300-30mg this morning for pain from having three teeth extracted. After about an hour I was feeling light headed and woosy--I drank as much fluid as I could to get this out of my system. I did not like feeling so dizzylike. Just tonight I m feeling a little clearer--What a disappointment to have such a reaction . Now I realize I should have taken only one(probably). Why would a doctor prescribe such a high dose? I would appreciate your advise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
