What Causes Dizziness After Oophorectomy?

Had laproscopic removal of ovaries and tubes 3 weeks ago today. Cannot take pain meds due to allergies, so why am I still dizzy. Any movement causes dizzy feelins. Sometimes so bad, feels like room is spinning. Is this caused by surgery. Nurse says she has no idea why I am experiencing dizziness.

Hi,

Most probably it will be a postural hypotension. Consult a physician and get evaluated. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. Do an electrolyte assay to look for hyponatremia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
