I have a bother in Belize who had Back surgery and all went well and able to walk and move around, how ever about six days after and at home he was admitted back at her hospital with symptoms of Kidney failure, today is the 6th day of being at the hospital and showing some improvements and on dialysis to assist and help to recover from this episode. How ever he complaining about feeling dizzy all the time? What could it be and how can he be helped?

Hi,

Feeling dizzy, while on dialysis, anti-hypertensives and diuretics (which I am sure, he might be on) may indicates a fall in BP, dehydration or congestive cardiac failure from fluid overload. This can be differentiated by looking into his BP, PR and fluid status. Kindly discuss with doctor, as he is already hospitalised.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
