What Causes Distorted Vision And Floaters In The Peripheral Vision?

For about fifteen minutes I experienced a rippling distortion of vision and a shining on the periphery of my right eye. Could that be a detached retina? The symptoms have gone away now. I saw the retinal specialist last week, who asked if I d had any distortion of my vision. Both my eyes have suffered vitreous detachment that has led to floaters. And cataract surgery in my left eye exacerbated my Fuchs syndrome, and my vision is impaired in both eyes: difficulty reading, sensitive to bright light. Thank you for replying.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a vitreous related problem. Consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated. Detailed evaluation is required to find out the exact cause. A B-scan is required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
