What Causes Disoriented Feeling In The Morning After Eating Sweets The Previous Night?

if I eat sweats prior to bed (1-2) hours I feel terrible the next morning.. difficult to wake up, groggy, foggy mentally, energy . this feeling lasts several hours.. I m 52 6 6 230Lbs reasonably good shape. wellness test every year, marginal on a few tests, no issue with diabetes tests.
